Early support makes a big difference — the sooner we identify your child’s needs, the stronger their communication outcomes will be.

The first session may be a Consultation. This allows us to discuss your child’s developmental history, previous therapy (if any), and your current concerns. Depending on the age of your child and the nature of the concerns:

We may proceed directly to therapy, or

We may recommend a comprehensive assessment to understand your child’s strengths and areas of need.

This flexible approach ensures that unnecessary testing is avoided, while still giving us enough information to plan effective support.

Many therapy services limit parent involvement to occasional updates. My approach is different:

  • Parents are given video and photo updates of each session .This allows you to see exactly what strategies I use, how your child responds, and how progress is being made — even when you cannot attend sessions in person
  • Weekly home practice guidance is provided for carryover. These tasks mirror what is done in sessions, helping children generalize skills faster and more effectively.
  • Direct and ongoing communication is maintained so parents feel part of the process. I maintain direct communication with parents throughout the process — during working hours and beyond if needed. I welcome concerns, suggestions, and feedback, and I adjust therapy goals collaboratively so families feel truly involved in their child’s progress.
  • Progress is made visible, even when parents can’t attend school-based sessions. Sessions are more structured and intensive, but parents are equally involved through updates, discussions, and home plans.

No, I provide therapy through school visits (at partnered schools) and clinic sessions after school hours.

I currently provide speech & language screeners only within my partnered schools.

For families not connected with these schools, the recommended first step is a clinic consultation. This helps us understand your child’s needs and decide whether a full assessment or direct therapy is the best next step.

Follow strategies recommended after each session:

  • Read together daily and encourage conversation
  • Use positive reinforcement when your child communicates
  • Keep communication natural, fun, and pressure-free

I combine evidence-based approaches to suit each client’s needs, including:

  • HANEN Program – parent coaching to support early language development
  • LIDCOMBE Program – stuttering therapy for young children
  • PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) – for children requiring alternative communication methods
  • MAKATON – using signs and symbols alongside speech

Targeted therapy for articulation, fluency, auditory processing, and language
